Prayer

Put simply, prayer, is talking with God. In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus teaches us a model of how to pray. It starts with relationship, we get to call God ‘Father’, as He wants to care for us like a father would. The rest of the Lord’s Prayer teaches us that we can talk to God and he will provide, forgive, guide and protect us.

Each week we encourage people to pray the prayers from our notice sheet ‘prayer focus’.

If you have something you would like others in the church to be praying for, contact the church office and we will add your request to the list. Or, add your prayer into the prayer book that can be found at the back of the church. We have a prayer tree for children and young people to write their prayers on in the south transept of the church.

If you would like someone to pray with you on a Sunday, we have a prayer team who meet in the south transept of the church after the 9:45am service.

For emergency prayer contact Joan Lemon on 01428 712130.

Any of our ministers will gladly prayer with you.
