Mission support

St. John’s aims to give one tenth of our income to charity. It is the Mission Support Groups’ job to make recommendations to the Church on how to use this money.

We currently support the following charitable groups:

The remaining money provides Bibles for students leaving St. John's School at the end of the year. And the Churt Community Centre, Acorn Christian Healing Foundation and Crossways Counselling.

We aim to have a representative of each supported mission group to visit the church once a year, keeping us informed on their work.

St. John’s has a close relationship with the missions we support - not least with the Robinson family, who are loved and admired by our congregation, having been part of our church for many years. They are the founders of the Place of Grace, which provides a sanctuary to children living in poverty in Bangkok.

The Mission Support Group meets annually and consists of Becky Shayler (Chair) and Richard Gibb. We would welcome another member so please email Becky if you’d like to find out more.
